Villa Danieli @ Sheraton Imperial Hotel, KL

To celebrate Daniel being officially 21 yrs old, we spent a great night together enjoying a very appetizing meal! We were very lucky, Villa Danieli had proudly presented the special appearance of an Italian Michelin Chef, Marcello Fabbri, during our visit there. Woots, I was having extra high hopes since the chef was someone with 2 decades of experience.

Here's a review of the very satisfying meal we had during the small celebration.

I'm pretty impressed with the ambience, the interior and exterior designs of this Italian restaurant.
It's apparently a beautiful villa located at the fifth floor of Sheraton Imperial Hotel, KL.
From the outside, there's this lovely walkway before entering the villa accompanied
with a pool area on the left and some outdoor seats on right.

Swimming pool area.

Outdoor seats.

Indoor.

Without further thinking, we decided to go for their 5-course meal, at RM220/set and RM380/set with wine pairing. As I couldn't take beef, we requested to replace some dishes to other options given in the menu.
Marcello Fabbri Vitello Tonnato
Starting with this, based on the arrangement of the menu, the first dish was the
Newly Interpreted Tuna and Veal by Chef Marcello Fabbri. Daniel liked it a lot.
But, as it contained beef, my mine was replaced to the following dish.

Fegato D'Oca Mango E Balsamico
Variation of Duck Foie Gras, Mango and Balsamic Vineger.
I didn't know I was eating duck's liver.. until Daniel told me it was actually foie gras.
Gawd, I am definitely not a fan of  any dishes made of internal organs..
but then I gotta admit, that it tasted well, a little salty and sweet!

Zuppa Di Zucca
Pumpkin Soup served with Scallops and Roasted Pumpkin Seeds.
We both had this pumpkin soup as our second dish. The texture of the soup was fine and nice, provided the fried scallops were so delicious, that it paired really well with the soup.

Risotto Ai Porcini
Risotto of Porcini Mushrooms served with Parmesan Ice Cream.
Followed by a small portion of Italian rice, which tasted kinda salty due to the cream.

Manzo Australiano

Australian Black Angus Striploin with Green Asparagus, Potato Confit & Black Truffle.
Coming to the main dish, Daniel had beef as arranged in the menu.

Spigola Gratinata
Gratinated Fillet of Sea Bass served with Steamed Artichokes & Red Capsicum Sauce.
While for me, I was given choices of beef, lamb and sea bass. I picked sea bass, cause that's like the only thing I eat among all three choices. I think I've missed out so much for not taking beef and lamb.

Torta Di Mele Granny Smith
Granny Smith Apple Tart served Granny Smith Soup & Sorbet.
From its appearance itself  you can tell, this is a soury dessert. It was refreshing to me.

So, we have come to the end for this review, here's a photo of us at the walkway ❤️
