Boxes at BBCC, KL

Long lost cafe review.. is back! Yesterday, Daniel and I visited a very instagrammable and unique cafe for brunch, called Boxes at BBCC (Bukit Bintang City Centre), KL. It is located directly next to Berjaya Times Square and can be easily seen from the roads. This cafe is designed according to the container concept, which nowadays has applied to many new cafes. Instead of one container, Boxes Cafe comes in three colourful containers facing different directions, that distinct the interior into three parts. Each of the container has different tables arrangements, like small coffee tables with cozy seats, swings attached from the ceiling as well as big dining tables that fit a group of visitors. I did not capture any photos of its interior during my visit, due to some filming activities that were going on by NTV7. Anyway, there are pictures uploaded on Boxes's instagram (ig: boxescafebbcc), do check them out if you're curious about it!

Photography done quietly, while people were shooting their television series on the other side lolol.

Jumping straight into the food review... the cafe serves various food from Asian to Western. Basically, we ordered three dishes, and two of them are the "must-try".
Chicken Percik Burger

The very first thing we saw from the menu was this chicken burger. With the price of RM18.90, you will get to enjoy a juicy, well-marinated chicken burger, that comes along with wedges and salad as the sides. The burger is kinda thick, so be prepared to mess up your fingers! Rating: 6.5/10

Nasi Lemak Makizushi

Woots, here comes something creative! This dish is definitely a mixture of Malay and Japanese food. Apparently, it is nasi lemak presented in the form of sushi rolls, with sambal and it is introduced during the previous event (Yokoso BBCC). Although the event has ended for almost half a month, but yeah this unique dish is still available at Boxes Cafe! To me, what makes a good nasi lemak is the sambal, and yup, the sambal that comes along with the sushi rolls is good enough. Rating: 7.5/10

Egg Mushroom on Toast

From the name itself, you know it is a toast served with eggs and mushroom. Even though this is not any of the "must-try" food, we've decided to give it a try. RM10.90 for scrambled eggs, sauteed mushrooms and cherry tomatoes on a toast, not bad though. Rating: 6.5/10

Okay, so the above are all my personal thoughts and review for this cafe. Everyone has different taste buds, therefore, give yourself a try if you wish to know more about the cafe and the food there. Conclusion, this is definitely a place for cafe hoppers and people who want to shot insta-worthy photos!
